Overview

Mansyadi Ghana Vati combines Parsik Yavani, Ashwagandha and Jatamansi, three herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for supporting mental calmness, relaxation and overall nervous-system wellbeing.

The formulation is particularly suited to Ayurvedic care when mental restlessness, stress or difficulty maintaining a calm state of mind is present.

Traditional Ayurvedic Perspective

Ayurveda considers a calm and balanced mind an important part of overall wellbeing. Jatamansi and Ashwagandha are traditionally valued for their Manas supportive and Rasayana properties, while Parsik Yavani has traditionally been used for its calming and relaxing effects.

The formulation may be considered when support for mental relaxation, restful sleep and emotional balance is desired, according to individual Ayurvedic assessment.

Research Highlights

Mamsyadi Ghana in Insomnia Disorder

Randomized controlled clinical trial · 50 patients · 30 days

Preparation and Dose

Participants received Mamsyadi Ghana Capsule 500 mg three times daily for 30 days. The study assessed insomnia severity, sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, anxiety, depression and stress.

Finding

Mamsyadi Ghana showed significant improvement in insomnia severity and daytime sleepiness compared with the Tagara Churna group. Improvements were also seen in sleep quality and other sleep-related measures.

The study evaluated Mamsyadi Ghana Capsule, not Mansyadi Ghana Vati. Therefore, these findings should be considered evidence for the Mamsyadi Ghana formulation rather than direct clinical evidence for this specific Vati.
