Traditional Ayurvedic Perspective
Yashtimadhu is traditionally regarded as Vata-Pitta Shamaka, nourishing and soothing to the tissues. It is especially valued for the Kantha (throat), Svara (voice), Urdhvajatru region and digestive tract.
